Kimono patchwork is hard to sew!

Inspired by a cotton patchwork design I had started to sew, I made the decision to make a similar pattern in kimono silk. Seemed like a good way to use up some of my kimono fabric.

But I forgot that silk is slippery and hard to manoeuvre especially on bias cut.

After much deliberation, I remembered starch so sprayed all my cut pieces before I chain pieced the strips together.

Going well so far, but might play with the layout of the colours.
