A new year and new hangings

Last year I finished a wall hanging based on QAYG squares made from vintage kimono fabric. Builders came in in October and now they’ve finally finished the bathroom my wall hanging is back up.

Each original square was a colour of the rainbow, I cheated a little with indigo, violet and yellow! Then each square was cut into four and reassembled as a square.

My favourite colour combo is the darker yellow, 2nd from left, bottom row.

The title of wall hanging is ‘Poppy field in a sunset’. My next wall hanging project will be made from a black tomesode kimono with gold cranes. But I have to finish my other UFOs first!
