Having made around 150 rainbow blocks I started sewing them together with grey stripes.

And then my sewing machine seized up!

Frustrated that my project had to go on hold, I started reimagining a previous project of strips of kimono fabric I had sewn together.

I was going to join the long strips together with black fabric but I wasn’t very happy the way the some of the strips had been sewn together. So while waiting for my machine to be mended I cut them into 4” squares. And then I’ll add borders in red and blue. Or at least that is the current plan!
