Having bought dahlia patterned fabric to make a cushion, I had no idea what pattern to quilt it with.

I used a tiny heart fabric for the back and made contrasting boarders. Still no idea what pattern to quilt the fabrics with.

I was going to FMQ flowers but decided to copy the heart image on the back.

I added single hearts on the borders

Finally added a zip and ta-da!

The cushion is finished and I’m really pleased with the meandering heart design!

I’m sure the recipient, my wonderful daughter, will fall in love with it – her favour colour plus hearts!
